** Yoga and a pint has given $5,400 To charities**
Yoga and a Pint’s 2019 Spring Charity is the Susan G. Komen Twin Cities 3-Day. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® is a 60-mile walk for women and men who are ready to go the distance in the fight to end breast cancer. Participants raise a minimum of $2,300 and walk an average of 20 miles a day for three consecutive days, educating tens of thousands of people about breast health and raising funds for breast cancer research, community health, patient care and advocacy with every step. It’s a big commitment, but it’s totally worth it. The Twin Cities 3-Day takes place August 16th-18th. For more information or to register please visit our website at www.the3day.org Use promo code TWINCITIES10 to receive $10 off your registration fee. Take a sneak peak into the Susan G. Winter 2019 charity: Washington Tech School
$1,477!! Thank you!!
Yoga and a Pint’s 2019 Winter Charity is Washington Technology Magnet School - a St. Paul 6 - 12 school dedicated to exposing students to Biological Science, Math, Academic Rigor and Technology. We are working with the librarian to stock the shelves with diverse (and awesome) titles and help pay off late fees so students can continue to check out books throughout the year.
Fall 2018 Charity: TOgether rising
$1,784!! Thank YOu!!
My Fall 2018 charity is Together Rising. They are hard at work to reunite families that have been separated at the border. As they put it - "You see suffering in your community and around the world. You want to help, but don't know where to turn. Turn to Together Rising to transform heartache into action." I have been heartbroken over the families that have separated - in some cases parents deported without their children. Read HERE to learn what specifically Together Rising is doing to help reunite these families.
Summer 2018 Charity: Alzheimer’s Association - $2,075!! Thank you!!
By coming to class and cleaning out your change bin YOU made this possible! I am so grateful for all of you and beyond proud that we were able to give $2,075 to the Alzheimer's Association!
We worked with RivALZ who spent all summer competing in fundraising and finishing off with a flag-football game. It was a gift to work with these women who in total raised over $200,000! The day was made even more meaningful with a dedication to my grandmother, Sophia Gernes.
